As DWN RVR continued to evolve, the studio was invited to explore future-facing collaboration concepts with Merrell — reinterpreting classic men’s and women’s silhouettes through the DWN RVR design lens.

The proposal centered on repurposing heritage Merrell outdoor styles through a more architectural, performance-driven aesthetic.
By applying DWN RVR’s structured design language — informed by material discipline, tactical detailing, and refined restraint — the concepts sought to bridge Merrell’s technical outdoor legacy with a more culturally elevated expression.
Classic trail and hiking silhouettes were reimagined with updated proportions, considered material blocking, and modernized color systems.
The objective was not to replace Merrell’s identity, but to evolve it — introducing a sharper, more intentional visual presence while preserving performance integrity.

The concept deck positioned the collaboration as a natural extension of both brands: honoring Merrell’s credibility in outdoor innovation while expanding its relevance within contemporary culture and design-forward retail.
